In the framework of this European Lifelong Learning project, we give the opportunity to volunteers to participate in voluntary work in Florence, respectively in the Toscana region in order to get to know voluntary work, people from Florence and the country.
The stay expands over a period of three weeks. Travel costs, board and lodging are financed through the European Commission.
Conditions for participation are:
– to be open, flexible, and to have a longing to know
– to be 50 (+)
– to be an active volunteer in Berlin
– to be willing to be an ambassador of the own organisation in the organisation in Florence
Knowledge of English or Italian could be useful but is no condition. So, also when one doesn’t speak English or Italian, participation is possible.
Further on, the Italian volunteers would be happy when the volunteers coming from Berlin would then be willing to accompany them in their own organisation according to their own possibilities for three weeks.
Goals are:
– to do something good for oneself and for others in Europe
– to gather information and ideas for further cooperation between the own organisation in Berlin and partner organisations in the Toscana region.
The first group of three people from Berlin will go to Florence in April 2013 and a second group will go in October 2013.

Im Rahmen dieses europäischen Projektes (Lifelong Learning) bieten wir die Möglichkeit, als Praktikanten an ehrenamtlichen Tätigkeiten in Florenz bzw. in der Toskana teilzunehmen, um die Freiwilligenarbeit, die dortigen Menschen und das Land kennenzulernen
Der Aufenthalt dauert drei Wochen. Die Reise, die Unterkunft und die Verpflegung werden von der Europäischen Kommission finanziert.
Voraussetzungen für eine Teilnahme
– neugierig, offen, flexibel
– 50 (+) Jahre alt
– hier in Berlin ehrenamtlich aktiv
– und schließlich bereit sein, Botschafter/in der eigenen Organisation in Florenz zu sein
Englisch- oder Italienischkenntnisse sind nützlich, aber keine Voraussetzung. Die Teilnahme ist also auch für diejenigen möglich, die kein Englisch oder Italienisch sprechen.
Weiterhin würden sich die italienischen Freiwilligen freuen, wenn die Berliner Teilhnehmer
bereit wären, danach in Berlin und in der eigenen Organisation Menschen aus Florenz im
Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten zu begleiten, die anschließend in Berlin für drei Wochen zu Gast sein werden.
Ziele:
– was gutes für sich und für andere in Europa tun
– Informationen (und Ideen?) sammeln, für mögliche weitere Kooperationen zwischen der
eigenen Organisation in Berlin und den Partnern in der Toskana.
Die erste Gruppe von drei BerlinerInnen sollte in April 2013 nach Florenz fahren, eine zweite Gruppe in Oktober 2013.
